Curriculum for School-Age Children

Peace Begins with Me is a collection of activities for teachers to use in addition to making Jizos for Peace panels or origami Jizos. The activities are intended to spark ideas of peace within students and to inspire their desire to work for peace in the world. Students discuss topics, role play, draw, paint and write. All of the activities can be used with groups, but the primary focus is on the individual as the peace maker. Each activity takes between twenty minutes and an hour to complete. Activities are quick for teachers to understand and developmentally appropriate for youngsters from about ten years old and through high school. Different learning styles were considered when the activities were developed. Teachers can pick and choose the activities best suiting the needs of their group.

The cost for Peace Begins with Me curriculum materials is $20.
